Rootstown Rovers Marching Band
The pride of Rootstown High School and Rootstown, OH - The Rootstown Rover Marching Band starts its season in early August and continues until mid-October. You will find us on the field supporting the Rover Football team before the game and during 1/2 time. During the game, we provide encouragement to the players and entertainment for our fans from the stands. We play at every home and away game.
We also participate at several invitation only marching band shows throughout the year. In 2018 we were invited to perform at St. Vincent-St. Mary's, Windham, Orrville and Rittman.
Joining us on the field is the auxiliary; the color guard and majorettes. We are a diverse group of that include students of all sorts of academic, athletic and musical backgrounds. If you have ever dreamed of performing, but maybe we a bit shy to be on stage marching band is the place for you. Talk with Mr McCloskey if you're interested, I know we would love to have you - but be prepared to work.
